Challenging Healthcare Trends Today; “LifeCare”–an Emerging Strategic Framework for Tomorrow!

Life Care Health Care Model

About the Program

A Platform Strategy for Transformation

Our healthcare industry continues to evolve as healthcare leaders and planners uncover patient needs in conjunction with ever changing healthcare trends (i.e. political, legal, demographic, economic, cultural, technological and social). The future, however, continues to be fraught with uncertainty and financial challenges despite collaboration efforts of health systems, health plans and providers to work together. David Gentile and Julie Amor will share their insights regarding key industry trends to address during strategic planning and will discuss an emerging strategic framework (LifeCare Model) that could bring greater order and efficiency to the healthcare market. This discussion will frame up why we are where we are as an industry today and what the potential benefits are to migrate toward a comprehensive realignment called LifeCare.

Imagine what a health system or health plan model built from the ground up would look like today. Instead of reflecting the long-standing industry focus on supply and demand for service, coverage and revenue churning, the new business model would likely be an evolutionary adaptation—an enterprise capable of meeting increased consumer demand for services that engage people in their health through innovative and effective channels. Engaging people in their desire to remain healthy, beyond just receiving treatment when they are not, is the newest requirement for sustainability in the industry.

All healthcare marketers and planners from physician groups, hospitals, payers and pharmaceuticals are invited. For more information, please contact AMAKC Healthcare SIG Chair Vince Vandehaar (Rockhurst University / VVV Consultants LLC) at (913) 302-7264, Co-Chair Alexa Backman (VVV Consultants LLC) at (816) 509-8464 and/or Co-Chair Laurie Rockhill (Truman Lakewood) at (816) 404-6755.
